Cracow is a place which attracts a great number of candidates for university studies. It is a university town with some 120 thousand students. Studying in Cracow, Poland's oldest academic centre, a cradle of the national culture, the city of different national traditions, offers great prospects for career development. The most respectable institution of higher learning in Cracow is, obviously, the Jagiellonian University, formerly Cracow Academy, which has been educating Polish intellectual elites since 1364. The University of Economics, formerly named the Academy of Economics, also belongs to the group of Cracow's renowned schools.
The University of Economics, in terms of the number of students, is Poland's largest school of this type and one of the largest ones in Central and Eastern Europe. We offer 11 majors and 40 specialisations at all levels of courses, educating more than 20 thousand students from about 30 countries. We cooperate with 190 most renowned schools from all over the world.
The University has 4 faculties and offers a dozen or so majors. The choice may be made between 3-year full time courses of level I (Bachelor's and Engineer's) and 2-year courses of level II (Master's). The University also offers part time courses (extramural and evening) of both level I and level II. The School's offering includes prestigious MBA courses (Master of Business Administration) and MPA studies (Master of Public Administration) in cooperation with renowned foreign institutions of higher learning.
